Jimmy Butler’s Historic Game 3 Performance

Down 2-0 to the Los Angeles Lakers, the Miami Heat needed someone to step up and lead them to victory in order to avoid a 3-0 Finals hole. Last night, that someone was Jimmy Butler.

Butlerwho leads Miami with 22.1 PPG this postseasondropped his first career playoff triple-double, finishing with 40 points, 13 assists, and 11 rebounds.

Despite their second and third leading scorers (Goran Dragic 19.9 PPG, Bam Adebayo 17.8 PPG) out due to injury, the Heat’s crucial Game 3 victory brings them one step closer to tying the Finals at two games apiece.

Jimmy Butler’s extraordinary 2020 playoff run continues. As iconic as Butler’s NBA story proves to be, his performance last night may have topped that. Hats off to Jimmy Buckets.
